Prior to joining Hylman’s China as a Senior Partner, Tao Meng proved his excellence through his years of experience in research, R&D, product development, and operations in technology companies, having held senior management positions in well-known domestic and international enterprises such as Midea Group, Alibaba, Huawei, UTStarcom, and Ericsson.

In particular, Tao Meng established the Midea Building Technology Research Institute and led the team in creating the Midea Building Technology iBuilding digital platform. This platform was designed to build a new digital management framework for building technology, enhancing efficiency across the entire value chain and facilitating the division's transformation towards full digitalization, intelligence, and technology. He creatively proposed the Digital Engineering Project Contracting (DEPCO) model and has continuously implemented it in practice.

He also built Alibaba's smart building digital platform from scratch, serving as the R&D lead and guiding the team in developing a digital platform for Alibaba's fixed asset management. Through comprehensive informationization, digitalization, and intelligence, he significantly improved the operational management efficiency of fixed assets in Alibaba's campuses, achieving a complete digital transformation of the division's business and ensuring the appreciation and efficient operation of assets. He also completed the design and development of the Alibaba smart building platform products, forming a solutions and deployment ecosystem team that implemented practices in Alibaba’s self-owned campuses, industrial parks, commercial entities, and shared office projects, creating a full-process standard system and cooperative ecosystem.
