Explore below

The client and context:

A consumer goods company with a diverse range of product lines, including personal care, household cleaning, and food products, engaged us to help optimize their supply chain and warehouse stock/inventory management processes. The company had a global footprint with manufacturing facilities and distribution centers across multiple countries, which made their supply chain complex and difficult to manage.

The challenges:

The client was struggling with high inventory holding costs due to inefficient inventory management processes. They had inadequate visibility into their inventory levels, which led to overstocking, stockouts, and increased lead times. This resulted in higher costs, lower customer satisfaction, and lost sales. The client also faced challenges with their warehouse management system (WMS) and had difficulty in managing their warehouse operations efficiently.

On our side, the main challenge was to develop a solution that could address the client's unique supply chain and warehouse management requirements while adhering to their budgetary constraints. The client was looking for a cost-effective solution that could be implemented quickly and efficiently across their global network.

What we Did:

We conducted a comprehensive assessment of the client's supply chain and warehouse management processes. We analyzed the client's current inventory management practices, their demand forecasting accuracy, their order fulfillment process, and their warehouse layout and design. Based on this analysis, we identified areas for improvement and developed a customized solution to optimize their supply chain and warehouse management processes.

Our solution involved the implementation of a new WMS that offered enhanced functionality and flexibility. The new system provided the client with real-time visibility into their inventory levels, which enabled them to manage their inventory more effectively. We also helped the client to streamline their warehouse operations by improving their warehouse layout and implementing best practices for order picking, packing, and shipping.

What we achieved:

We helped the client achieve significant improvements in their supply chain and warehouse management processes. The new WMS resulted in a 30% reduction in inventory holding costs and a 20% improvement in order fulfillment accuracy. The client was able to reduce lead times and improve customer satisfaction levels, which resulted in increased sales and revenue. The optimized warehouse operations also led to a 25% improvement in warehouse productivity and a 15% reduction in labor costs.

In conclusion, we were able to help the client achieve their supply chain and warehouse management objectives by providing a customized solution that addressed their unique requirements. The client was able to realize significant cost savings, improve operational efficiency, and enhance their customer service levels.
